Gladstone Regional Council Project Update: Turtleway Pedestrian Bridge Replacement - Canoe Point, Tannum Sands and Stirling Park, Boyne Island.
Stirling Park footbridge: Open for public use
The Turtleway footbridge has been replaced. Works are complete and the new footbridge is open for use.
Canoe Point footbridge: Works progressing
Replacement works are progressing well.
Piling works were completed ahead of schedule.
Work on abutments is underway.
To keep our community safe, full closure of the Canoe Point footbridge site is in place, with no pedestrian bridge access until about the end of June 2025. A pedestrian detour around the work area is required.
Above dates are a guide only. Due to the nature of construction projects and unforeseen delays, works and timeframes may vary.
We appreciate your co-operation and patience during works. Please follow signs and directions near the work site.
