Calliope Youth Fest – Saturday 20 September | 10am – 2pm | Bunting Park, Calliope

Organised by the talented Eventsters group from Calliope State High School in collaboration with Gladstone Regional Council (GRC), this brand-new youth-led, free community festival is launching on the first day of the September school holidays and your students are invited!

What’s Happening at Calliope Youth Fest:

  • Youth Makers Market


    11 young entrepreneurs showcasing their creative products, handmade items, and small businesses

  • Live & Roving Entertainment


    Including stilt walkers, hula hoop performers, and live music by talented young locals

  • Free Kids Activities, including:

  • Face painting

  • Glitter tattoos & festival glitter bar (with Happy Hues)

  • Balloon twisting (with Luke & Kim)

  • Chalk art (with Sunlit Henna)

  • Food Trucks

  • The Scavenger Hunt

  • Connected Youth Café


    A chill space for young people to hang out, play giant games, join fun activities, connect with local youth services, and enjoy a sausage sizzle.


    Delivered by Gladstone Neighbourhood Centre’s Connected Youth Group, supported by local organisations and PCYC.

Calliope Youth Fest is more than just a fun day out it’s a celebration of youth creativity, leadership, and community spirit. It aligns with Council’s commitment to youth engagement and provides a valuable opportunity for students and families to connect with local groups, express themselves, and support their peers.
